She has been instrumental in the development of the Deep Brain Implant (for Parkinson’s Disease), the Intrathecal Baclofen, and the IBot wheelchair evaluation programs at HealthSouth Albuquerque. |

She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse. Dr. Marjama-Lyons completed residencies in psychiatry and neurology, an internship in psychiatry and a fellowship in movement disorders. |
